U 229A - U-238C
I have, in order to keep track of and identify signals in my collection that are slight variations of existing U#'s, added the designation "v" to signify this variation. This is followed by a number which represents how many variants of that style I own.
For instance . . .a "U-239B v3" would simply be a signal that is obviously a U-239B but with slight variations, and that I have at least three signals that are each unique variations of the U-239B
   Again, this is
my own system for my own use to identify variations of  signals in my collection. I point this out only to prevent new collectors from unknowingly using this additional letter.
The notation "Sim" or "Sim to" is used by collectors to refer to an insulator that matches no U#  but is "similar" to a known style, or in some cases where the production was so poor that what should have been a recognizable U# has been deformed and nearly unrecognizable.
